Southern Natural Farms has a strict beef cattle and pork protocol that all of our partner farms must adhere to. This protocol stresses the importance of pasture raised animals who are treated humanely without the use of growth hormones or antibiotics. The guidelines also call for an all vegetarian feed, DNA “farm to fork” trace-ability, and an environmentally sustainable farm. The meat production begins by naturally farming our cows and pigs on local Tennessee farms. We then carefully transport those animals to our single, company- owned and USDA- inspected processing facility in Lexington, TN.
We believe that humanely handling all of our animals to the final point of processing directly corresponds to a higher quality of meat. Once our meats are packaged, our trucks disperse the final fresh products throughout the Southeast to consumers who have a willingness to support local agriculture. Overseeing each step in our animal’s journey ensures consistent high quality and safety for our customers. We guarantee 100% trace-ability of all of our products.
